GHIN Flights
(Golf Handicap Information Network)
Hello Canyonettes, starting on June 4, 2024, our league will offer players the opportunity to play in competitive Flights (A, B, C, D). The GHIN Chair will group you into your Flight based on your GHIN Handicap Index.
As a Canyonette, you do not need to join a Flight in order to play golf in the league. We will continue to have our regular games each week. You can do both.
If you wish to join the GHIN Flights, you will need to sign up with the USGA and obtain a GHIN number. That number is unique to you. It is with that GHIN number that you will establish your Handicap.
You can sign-up through our web page https://www.canyonettesgolf.com/store-1. Please use Canyonette League as your club. If you want to sign up through another club/league, or perhaps you already have a GHIN through another club/league, that’s OK too.
There is a yearly $39.00 fee for the GHIN.
To establish your handicap, you will need to post 6 (9 hole scores) or 3 (18 hole scores).
Next, download the USGA GHIN App so you can enter your weekly scores. (See the Canyonettes Web page - https://www.canyonettesgolf.com/ghin.)
You will need to enter your weekly scores, hole by hole each week after play. The scores must be posted no later than Wednesday 9:00 am the day after play.(if you are playing the weekly game and need to turn in your paper scorecard you should post your score through the GHIN App at the end of the evening)
And of course, there will be prizes at the end of the season.
