President’s Letter | Nov 2022

Letter from the President | November 23, 2022

I hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving.  The Board is working feverishly on making plans for an exciting 2023 season.  The events committee has already been hard at work getting the Scramble organized and prizes identified, we will again, have awesome prizes this next year.

We would like to get back to off season events as the Canyonettes had pre-COVID.  The following have not been confirmed yet with dates, but we would like to see if there is an interest in the following events:

1. Indoor Golf Simulator - https://www.thegolfdistrict.com/.  We would like to reserve a couple of bays in January for anyone interested.  This is a new business located at 1808 W Francis.

2. Murder Mystery – Death by Chocolate.  Doug has confirmed use of the Club House to have an evening of Murder Mystery at the end of February.

3. Bunko – We are also able to use the Club House to have an evening of fun playing Bunko in March.

This will take us to April when we will be starting our clinics and then the golf season will start in May, it will be here before you know it.

We will be sending out RSVPs as we confirm the dates so we will have an accurate count for each of the events.

Update for members with 2022 GHIN: Inactive Score Posting Season began in Washington Golf territory on November 15th.  However, if playing in an area where scores are still being accepted for handicap purposes, please report as soon as practicable.

Safe travels and enjoy the holiday season – we will be back in January with more exciting news for 2023!

Happy Holidays
