President’s Letter | Jan 2023

Happy New Year

I hope everyone is having a very Happy New Year.  The Board had its first Board Meeting on January 10th.  We accomplished A LOT – thank you to the board for an amazing meeting and kicking the year off with so much progress. 

1.      Golf Simulator Event:

We have confirmed the date for the Indoor Golf Simulator:

§  Golf District at 1808 W Francis, this is in the 5-Mile Shopping Center. 

§  It will be January 27th (Friday) at 6:30pm, we have reserved 4 bays for 2 hours.  Each bay can support 4-6 players per round. 

§  The cost will be approximately $20-$25 each depending on how many are in each bay and if you are a Golf District member or not.  You can join Golf District on their website at https://www.thegolfdistrict.com/ and get $5 off per hour. 

§  They have beer, wine, pizza, JoJo’s, and hot dogs (other food and drink items are also available). 

§  FYI - You must be 21 years old to enter the Golf District.

Next for our February and March events we have asked Doug to use the club house at Indian Canyon.  We are waiting for date confirmations but please hold the following dates and times.  We will send out an update through email and Facebook as soon as we get confirmation.

2.      Murder Mystery – Death by Chocolate.  February 28th at 6:30

3.      Bunko – March 21st at 6:30   

GHIN Update – WA State GHIN is not available in-state until March.  However, if you need to enter GHIN between now and March 1st while playing out of state, pay your 2023 annual GHIN ($38) online  at our website GHIN Fee (not required) — Canyonettes (canyonettesgolf.com) and your account will be activated. 

We are also going to do the clinics again this year on April 18th and April 25th with more details to follow.

Please watch your email from Canyonettes and Facebook for Event notices so you can register for all upcoming events.  Canyonettes 2023 membership fee remains at $28 and will need to be paid early, before first night of play on May 2nd at  https://www.canyonettesgolf/store-1 .   If you have any issues signing up for events or paying online, please email us at Canyonettes@outlook.com.
